Initially, we have planed to go "Barracks Cafe" at Dempsy but they were fully booked. It seems like a popular cafe and we made a point to make reservations first if ever we decided to come back again.
We have passed by a particular cafe before we finally located Barracks Cafe. We thought that this cafe looked pretty inviting and we finally decided to settle our brunch there.
Our sumptuous brunch ! K is crazy over Egg Benedict since she visited the States ! Anyhow, we ordered three dishes to share amongst us, accompanied by drinks.
It was a hot afternoon and the cafe was not comfortable as it was not cooling enough. The lamp beside us was adding on to the heat ! Luckily, HS requested the service staff to switch it off if not we would be "baked" in no time. Anyhow, the food seems to save the day ... the Pizza tasted divine !
This series of photos taken behind this lovely wall of aqua blue, beautiful lightings could have left us feeling like the most blissful ladies who have just enjoyed a "Tai Tai" session together when this rude service male staff abruptly told us off that we were "blocking their way as we were near the main entrance" and making it difficult for their staff to move around. Ok, we got your rude message and you have totally ruined our good mood for the moment and our rather good image of this cafe ! There should be a nicer way of putting your concerns to your customers !
We decided that we cannot let others ruined our mood on such a lovely day ! We walked around Dempsy and took quite a bit of photos. I was briefing the ladies how to use the potrait lens so that we could take photos for one another. The two ladies picked up the skills quite fast.
We were still early to be heading home. I suggested to have desserts in White Rabbit which was within walking distance. This is the backlane to White Rabbit Restaurant where the lane was flanked with bamboos. After taking these photos, we realised that our legs were real itchy from mosquitoes bites ... it was time to proceed to the comfort of the air-conditioned interior !

The restaurant was quite empty by then ... good opportunity to take even more photos ! The two young ladies liked this place and we wished we could stay longer. K left shortly for a movie show. HS and myself continue to browse the backyard before we headed home.
