Hokkaido cake and Orange cake

BC apps me a very beautiful photo of her Hokkaido cake recently. I was so tempted to bake some for myself. Unfortunately I did not get the recipe but just goggle if I can find any Hokkaido cakes recipes on the web.

The strange thing is I haven't tasted Hokkaido cake before ....

I  thought the cakes looked very well-baked in the oven ... I was happy ...

They got deflated after taking out from the oven ! What exactly have gone wrong ? CK said they tasted like scramble eggs covered with icing sugar ... I thought they tasted like very light chiffon cake ...

Thank God that on the same day I baked the orange cake again ... which never fails me ! At least I don't feel a total waste of my time and effort.
