I was the first to arrive and was happy to spot these two lovely giant pinky cupcakes outside Orchard Central where we would be having our dinner.
"Big flowers" on the "frosting" ... pretty festive. The black ribbons add on to it's chic.
Btan suggested this fabulous restaurant called Ootoya Japanese Restaurant.
Bkian was still in Clementi and we were famished ! We ordered this salad with pork which was delicious. Good chance to gossip with Btan and to share some views about anything that came into our minds.
While waiting, we ordered this small bowl of 纳豆 (Natto, Japanese Fermented soybeans) and we totally regretted this order ! (Luckily this small bowl costs only $3.00) They tasted so weird ... at that moment Bkian reached the restaurant and we asked her to try it. Haha, she didn't like it either. Besides this Natto, the food and desserts were fantastic !
Our delicious dinner ! The accompanying dishes like the soup and pumpkin were fantastic. Normally I will skip the miso soup, but Ootoya miso soup was full of ingredients like gingseng, chicken etc.
My mysterious friend, Btan who simply refused to take photos! (never give "face") Bkian was more gamed !
The beautiful desserts ... truly delightful !It was a great gathering with many teasings. Thank you.
